Tiles cannot correct a wavy floor. We check the surface, level it with screed where needed, and only then lay. Skipping this is why edges lift and corners rock.
Dabbing adhesive on the corners is fast and leaves hollow voids under the tile. Those tiles crack the first time something heavy is dropped. We back-butter and comb for full contact, especially on large-format tiles.
